Vinh Sun BBQ @ Boston, MA

Hubby and I love Chinese BBQ meat (duck, pork, chicken) and is always in search of a goof BBQ place. We usually get our Chinese BBQ meat from Hong Kong eatery but have over time dislike that place. We’ll leave that for another post. =)

Anyway, not wanting to go back to Hong Kong Eatery for BBQ stuff….we decided to give Vinh Sun a try. The restaurant looked decent from the outside and the inside was clean (unlike Hong Kong) and air-conditioned.

We only ordered a rice plate and soup to share. Here’s what we got:

1) Roast Duck and BBQ Pork Rice Plate (Right) @ $6.00 (I think). Apart from the dry and stingy sauce, everything else was yummy! The roast duck was not overly oily, meaty and moist. The skin also had a nice crunch. The BBQ pork was one of the best I’ve had; juicy and flavorful! Would definitely be back for those. We initially wanted roast pork, but with some miscommunication between us and the waiter; we got BBQ pork instead. No regrets though! =)

2) Shrimp Wonton Soup (Left) @ $4.50. The shrimp wontons were yummy and they were quite generous with it. =). The soup base probably did not taste like regular wonton soup I’ve had, but still good in its own way!
